In Parallel Moral Injury

Eschewing their stark, black & white visual aesthetics from their previous efforts, In Parallel have found a way to somehow effortlessly blend gorgeous neon into their new appearance, somehow still keeping everything cohesively dark and morose, which ties seamlessly into the subject matter of this new EP.

Written and recorded immediately after a school shooting that rocked their hometown of Nashville, the subject matter and overall vibe of these three tracks are scorched with unease and fear which shines through in every aspect of this release. It's not an easy listen, but it's a necessary one.

We worked alongside the band to maintain their newfound visual identity and to complete it with some really unique touches on the packaging and layout of this record. We screen printed the b-side of the vinyl with a dark and ominous black design that opposes beautifully with the gorgeous irridescent vinyl swirls. Then, we printed strips of French Paper and wrapped them along the bottom edge of the album jacket, giving us a space to hand number each one, but also giving the album art a wonderfully tactile component along with the reverseboard printed jackets. As an added bonus, we flooded the inside of the jacket with a bright pink glow, which again opposes the darkness of the album beautifully. Truly, this album has to be held in order to truly grasp all of the details contained within. Words do it no justice.

Lastly, we will be donating a portino of each record sold to a local Nashville organization that works to prevent gun violence and provide support to those affected by it. We are proud to be able to support this organization and hope that you will join us in doing so.
