In the blink of an eye, an entire decade has disappeared and we are celebrating the ten year anniversary of the original release of Too Free To Live by Brett Detar. We've somehow managed to hold onto the final few copies from the original pressing that have never been made available to the public until today. These 10 Year copies are presented as a bundle with hand-written lyrics from Brett as well as a CD copy of the album, and you get to choose which song from his canon that you'd like for him to write for you!
PLEASE NOTE: This item is in stock and shipping as soon as Brett hand writes everyone's lyrics. Please include your song choice in the notes during checkout!
Too Free To Live is Brett Detar's (The Juliana Theory, Zao) sophomore solo album, originally released on October 8th, 2013. The first 100 copies were pressed on white and only available from Brett directly via his website or on tour, while Mind Over Matter handled all of the packaging duties, given that these were quite laborious in their construction and execution.
The copies you see here are from the same pressing, but on a different colorway: clear with just a touch of blue swirl. Just like those first copies from a decade ago, these are housed in the same unique hand-made LP jacket that opens at the top with a custom, accordian-style fold. Each order will also include a CD of the album, previously only available from Brett on tour.
Not only are we finally making these available to the public to celebrate this release on it's ten year anniversary, we are proud to partner once more with Brett to offer unique, hand-written lyric sheets to his fans. All proceeds from this release go directly to the artist to support someone that we love and admire. Brett will be writing these lyric sheets to order and both the record and lyric sheets will ship together.
