October is officially upon us! I love autumm because hoodies are the greatest piece of fashion ever invented!

Anyhow, just a little update about some MOMR artists out on the road right now. Lights At Sea will be doing a long weekend jaunt around the midwest & we will be tagging along with our releases and distro in tow. We scored a lot of great new items this week that we will post online upon our return, but you can pick them up from us in person from any of these shows:

In the meantime, we are going to be prepping a 2nd pressing of the Stick Up Kids 10" - we will do different colors for the records, different artwork/layout AND there will also be a previously unreleased song!!! More details to come, but now you know.

While moving into a new HQ, I found a couple remaining of the black and white Bad Rabbits tour posters and we also added a new design that was culled from the test press artwork for the Stick Up Kids 10" - both have been added into the store. We also added copies of Deadhorse's "We Can Create Our Own World."

BledFest will be happening in just over a week! We will be there as a vendor selling all of our titles as well as our distro titles. We plan on having some exclusives that aren't in our webstore as well, so if you're in the Michigan area make sure to make it out.

What a wild month! It took us a little longer than anticipated to get everything wrapped up with the Bad Rabbits preorders, but if you have placed any mail order with us at all, your package is on it's way! Please keep a few things in mind if you haven't received your package yet:
- media mail can take up to 14 business days to ship to many parts of the country. If you selected the economy shipping, you are facing a potentiallly serious wait.
- we package each record with care, and we personalize each and every order. This takes additional time, but we know that you'll be stoked once you get it because your record won't be crushed and we enjoy making sure that you'll know how much we appreciate your order.
- all of our records are crafted entirely by hand. All printing, cutting, folding, glueing, and assembly happens one at a time. Again, this time adds up quickly, but where else can you find a package this elaborate for less than $11?! Exactly!
- all orders were shipped in the order in which they were received. If you ordered last, your package was shipped last.
- lastly, if you ordered a bundle: we took an extra week or so to whip up some awesome packaging to store your records in. They were very involved, and we apologize for the added delay (since you were one of the first to preorder), but your package is now 100 times cooler than anyone elses. You'll love it. I promise.

Beyond this, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot us an email. However, if you have ordered Stick Up Kids your package is on it's way!

We have had a good handful of people emailing/tweeting/asking about some details for the Bad Rabbits release...so here it is:

We will be launching preorders this Saturday - March 5th - at Noon EST. There are 3 color variations available, and we will be offering a bundle that will allow you to purchase all three at once at a discounted price. There will only be a very small number of these bundles available as the black color variant is only limited to 50 copies.

The entire site will be updated with the preorder this weekend and you better not sleep on this one because it's LIMITED!

These are expected to ship the last week of March, and we hope to have them with the band for their upcoming tour with Travie McCoy!

Bad Rabbits is just around the corner folks! We have been assembling components and getting things ready, but here are some advanced details for those who are interested:

250 total copies in the first pressing - 50 black, 100 green/blue half & half, and 100 white. This release will be on a 10" record, and the artwork is gonna be super fun! I need to update the gif we have here on the site ASAP, but it's going to be a black outer jacket, die-cut with the "BR" logo with another screen printed inner sleeve. If you want to see pictures while we are working on them, add us on Twitter or Facebook or Tumblr as we will post pictures of the entire process if you're a nerd (like us) and want to get down on the action.

Expect preorders within 2-3 weeks and check back for lots of updates as we truck along into this awesome release!

Happy Holidays from your friends at MOMR!

The Lights At Sea LP release show was a total success and a huge thanks to everyone who came out. We were finally able to see the very talked about Shores (who were INCREDIBLE, make sure to check them out!), and got to hang with our friends from Barrett Records again for an evening of great music.

Needless to say, the LPs and CDs are in stock and ship immediately. Sorry for the delay in taking down the preorder.

As we enter the new year, we are working on beefing up our webstore with some awesome distro titles as well as setting up some fun new stuff around the webstore. In fact, before long we should have an entirely new website design - you'll just see it in the store first.

Keep your eyes peeled and your ear to the ground - 2011 will find us with some amazing new releases that you won't want to sleep on. Thanks for the amazing year and all of your support. We love you all, and be safe.

As October wraps up, we find ourselves a mere few weeks away from the Lights At Sea LP release show on November 27th! While we haven't heard the test pressings yet, we are eager to get preorders underway, so we are thrilled to announce that you can begin ordering copies of both the CDs and the LPs immediately! Palace Walls is a co-release with Barrett Records with a special partnership in our friends at Beardcore, so make sure to swing by both of their sites and show some support!

Please keep in mind that we aren't anticipating having these in our hands until nearly the end of the month, so expect them in your mailboxes during the first week of December. If you order another title with Palace Walls, they will ship together after the preorders are over.

The Freshwater Reflections EP preorders have all been shipped, and we are certainly very proud of the final result. Pressed out of a grand total of 220 copies on a transparent "ice blue" wax, housed inside of some gorgeous artwork made by James Kreager of Arctantic Design and topped off with some semi-transparent screen printing on a rigid picture disc sleeve. Pics coming soon, but in the meantime, order a copy to see it in your own collection!

We are also super stoked to announce that we will be working together with Barrett Records to co-release the incredible debut full length from Michigan's Lights At Sea! Titled "Palace Walls," we are aiming to have this release available digitally, on limited CD as well as roughly 250 copies on vinyl across two different color variations. It should be a great outing!

Empires preorders are live! Expect these to ship on or before August 24th, and all preorders will be eligible to win a copy of a Freshwater Reflection test pressing. The long playing Empires EP is on it's way! We are expecting the test presses back early on in July, so expect preorders to take place soon after we approve them.

The artwork is coming along nicely as well. We've taken a slightly different approach for this release by utilizing pre-printed inserts inside of a picture disc poly sleeve. We are screen printing the poly sleeve and have designed the record itself so that it doesn't have a label, creating several layers of transparency. The outcome should be pretty wild!

Lastly, the orange variant of Evergreen Terrace's "Burned Alive By Time" is officially out of print. There are a few remaining copies at various record stores and distros around the internet if you missed the boat on that one. In celebration of this, we have decided to lower the price on the red with orange haze to $9.99 until further notice.

Bledfest was a giant success! We made lots of new friends and it was a good time hanging out with Brothers on their little weekend excursion. They still have a small handful of the CD version of the "When I Was Young EP" available, so if you want one, you should email them ASAP.

We are working on the artwork phase of the Empires 12" right now and we will be posting preorders in the near future. The Brothers 7" is still very much in the planning phase, but that shouldn't follow too far behind either!

Time flies when you are putting out sweet records! We've been so busy showing off the final product of The Firebird Band's "Say Hello" seven inch that I have been neglecting our poor little website. Up to the second updates are always available via our Facebook and Twitter, however, so if you are yearning for more news check us out over there.

In the meantime, the TFB records are definitely shipping immediately upon order, we have additional copies of some distro copies in our store (including another color variant of "Where Blood And Fire Bring Rest") and some super limited tour posters that we prined up for Bad Rabbits while they were on the road with Foxy Shazam for the past couple of months.

Our friends in Brothers will be issuing a new plastic slab of hardcore through Mind Over Matter, and the final mixes are sounding AMAZING! We will be creating a very small run of CDs for Michigan's Bledfest on May 29th, and that will be the first chance to hear these new songs. The official release of the seven inch will follow soon after. It has been dubbed the "When I Was Young EP" - it rules. We have also begun work on the forthcoming Empires 12" - it has a slightly different feel than some of the other work we've done, but the final package should be rather stellar.

Today is a glorious day! We are finally able to share with you some samples of the new songs from The Firebird Band! You probably had to go past the player in order to get to this page, but in case you missed it, hit "back" on your browser a couple of times and check out the new songs. We will upgrade them to the full songs as we get closer to the preorders, so make sure you check back.

The 7" is titled "Say Hello" and features 2 remixes from "The City At Night" and a brand new track also titled "Say Hello." This will be a pressing 200 copies, silk screened artwork on a diecut sleeve. It's going to be a sharp little package and we can't wait to share it with you. A few months have slipped by, but we have some fun projects on the horizon! In the meantime, we did a trade with an awesome label based out of Ohio called Broken Circles - to date they are responsible for gorgeous vinyl reissues of Further Seems Forever, Beloved, and Zao. I have added copies of Zao's "Where Blood And Fire Bring Rest" as well as Beloved's "Failure On" in the webstore. Make sure to scope them out and support the vinyl revolution - no pun intended.

Speaking of future projects, we are very excited to announce that our next venture is going to be a 7" of all new material from The Firebird Band named "Say Hello" - these fine gentlemen haven't had any proper releases since "The City At Night" and we are extremely pumped to be the outlet for their new songs. Expect a player for the new songs soon, and we will keep you posted as things move along.

The time is almost here! We are anticipating having the records in our hands by the end of the week, and the artwork/jackets will be printed roughly in the same time frame. We will be posting preorders as soon as possible...because we are dying to get these out into the world!

We are also pleased to announce that we will be distributed exclusively through Vinyl Collective! For those who are unfamiliar with VC, it is the most amazing collection of distributed vinyl titles (and a few other formats as well) where vinyl enthusiasts around the world can shop, chime in on thoughts/ideas, and is run by some of the nicest people in the music industry today. We can not think of anyone else that we would rather partner with in this endeavor than these fine folks, so swing by and say hello on our behalf.

Last - but certainly not least - we would like to discuss preorders. All preorders WILL ship before the release date. We have officially solidified our first release! We are proud to announce that we will be giving Evergreen Terrace the vinyl treatment, starting with "Burned Alive By Time" - a one-time pressing of only 500 copies on colored vinyl. We will announce more news and pictures as things progress.
